Your parents may tell you that if you will work hard today you can enjoy life tomorrow. But mind it that is just for inspiration, they are just building a habit of hard work.
Hard work is the necessary part of life we have to work for whole life. If we work hard today may be in future we don’t need to work that hard and we enjoy our work.

Let’s check out some more effective techniques and master the skill of
How to Concentrate on Studies for Long Hours without Distractions
1. Positive Approach
The positive approach is the backbone of everything. In whatever condition you are if you have the positive approach towards anything you can be successful.
Here we want to master the art of focus on studies. To be focused you have to keep this in your mind that this focus can make your future bright.
This focus will make you live the life of your dreams. This focus will fulfill your wishes and make your parents happy too.
I think you read a story of Akbar and Birbal in which Birbal always said: “Whatever God do he do it for good”. With this statement, he wants to say always keep a positive approach, whatever condition you have.
While studying when you feel tired just think no problem I will take a rest and study again. If you got fewer marks even then don’t feel sad just think I will work harder next time.
If you got sick and could not achieve your goal even then just think I will definitely do it next time.
This positive thinking will help you in your life. There are a lot of stories on the positive approach which can inspire you.
I remembered another one in which an aunt tries to climb on the wall and after being failed 100’s of time finally, she climbed the wall. If that small aunt never loses her heart and keep working why we can’t.
So keep a positive approach that reading today will make you happy tomorrow.
2. Take Small Breaks
After acquiring a certain amount of information our brain stop working and we start making stupid mistakes.
This information overload is a condition when you are just reading but nothing being stored to your memory. At this point, we can not take more information.
So here we start losing focus, we try to recall what we read but sometimes we could not recall that information. So it is necessary that you take small breaks while reading for long hours.
These small breaks will increase your productivity and you will consume less time for grasping more information.
Remember days when our parents advise us to read in the early mornings. After a better sleep at night our mind is relaxed and fresh and ready to acquire new information.
In morning our mind has already taken a long break and grasp information so fastly. While if you have a habit of reading in nights your mind may be overloaded with a lot of information.
3. Eat Good Food
I think you remembered that old saying “Jaisa Khaoge Ann Waisa Rahega Mann” means which type of food you consume your mind start working like that.
If you eat more chappatis then you may feel sleepy as wheat has a natural power to make us sleepy.
So if you want to read for long hours you have to make your diet plan accordingly. You can’t eat too much and you can’t eat too less also.
If you eat too much you may feel sleepy but if you eat less you may run out of energy to sit and read longer.
Seeds, grain, nuts, soups, salads and fruits with low Glycemic Index release glucose in bloodstream slowly so maintain high energy levels for longer periods.
4. Avoid Distraction
Today distractions are increasing day by day. People are spending hours on social media rather than sweating on grounds.
I don’t think they are learning the best they can learn from books or with practicals they can perform in life.
Social media is full of distraction and that is a business for companies like facebook, twitter, Instagram. Think who has time to manage these social media websites if they don’t have business behind that.
But where your business is, When you are a student or preparing for some competitive exams like IIT, NEET, IAS or Banking then study is the only business you should know.
So if you want to focus on study keep your phone away while studying, don’t log in to social media accounts to avoid distractions.
For this, you have to learn the technique of time blocking. Time blocking is a technique in which you allot time slots for different tasks you have to complete in a day.
It is not just to do list, it is competing tasks in a time slot. This technique makes you more productive and you came to know how much time you have for other tasks.
When you blocked time for a task you have to promise yourself that you will not see your phone or will not do anything else that task you are doing.
5. Drink Water
Can drinking water improve concentration? We know 60% of our body is water. 73 % of our brain is also water. We can’t live without water.
So drinking water at regular intervals can make your brain more active. Drinking hot water increase blood circulation in our body and more blood flow will be towards our brain.
Hot water also reduces stress and fatigue. You should drink 8 to 10 glass of water to your brain hydrated and more active. So if you plan to read longer keep a bottle of water with you and drink at regular intervals.
6. Meditation & Excercise
Meditation is very beneficial for people who want to study for the longer duration, with concentration and without getting tired.
If you can meditate for half an hour you can study for more than eight hours without distractions. Meditation is the art of focusing and teach us better than any coach.
If you can’t meditate for a long time just start by 5 minutes daily. This will build a habit of meditation and you could meditate for a long time.
Meditation not only increase focus and concentration power but makes you healthy too. This art is being practiced In India for years.
You can also add yoga and exercise to your schedule. These will boost a confidence and you could collect your energy for your target.
